Apex 2017 Socage revolution: During the Apex 2017 Socage presented to the market its innovations concerning the aerial platforms.
For the first time in Amsterdam it presented the forSte 47TJJ, a telescopic aerial platform with double jib, Socage colossus, 47 m tall and it can be mounted on trucks with minimum G.V.W. of 26 tons.
The forSte 47TJJ is a machine able of a maximum 36 m outreach and a safe working load (SWL) of 600 kg (6 workers + tools) with a rotation of the aerial part of 700°.
The forSte 47TJJ can be equipped with an hydraulic winch mounted on the jib, with 900 kg capacity, usable when the aluminum basket is removed.
In addition to the forSte 47TJJ Socage brought also in Amsterdam the VT-VTJ Series, aerial telescopic platforms mounted on VAN. In particular at the stand it was seen the forSte 15VTJ, already brought in Monaco during the Bauma, it has a maximum height of 15 m and it has a jib. The VT-VTJ Series is ideal to make maintenance services to electric systems and lighting on the urban roads.
During Apex Show Socage presented also the innovative E Series, in a new version completely revolutionized.
They are aerial platforms mounted on 3,5 ton trucks with a safe working load (SWL) of 300 kg mounted on the X-FACTOR chassis, exclusively patented by Socage.
This chassis has the typical X shape (ME+ME) and it permits having a universal installation for every truck, having vertical feet and within the mirrors of the truck.
Another innovation characterizing the E Series aerial platform is having the SPP profiles, “Socage Project Profile”, raised from the strict collaboration between Socage and Welser Profile GmbH.
SPP is the development of tubular profiles made of high resistant material, with the purpose of producing ultralight aerial platforms’ chassis.
The profiling technique is first applied with the use of rollers, laser welding, laser tube cutting and robot welding.
SPP’s advantages include: modularity of the machines, 30 – 50% reduction of the aerial part weight and a high reduction of vehicle consumption.
In particular at the fair was exposed a forSte 20TJ eXtreme, telescopic aerial platform with jib belonging to the E Series mounted on a X-factor chassis. It is able of a maximum working height of 19,50 m and a maximum working outreach of 13,50 m, it has a maximum safe working load (SWL) of 300 kg (2 workers + tools) and it can be mounted on a 3,5 ton truck.
The biggest surprise of the Apex was the forSte 20D, double articulated platform of the E Series, 20 m tall and with a maximum working outreach of 9 m.
Thanks to the SPP profiles and a chassis with stabilizers H+H, this new platform wins Socage’s challenge on lightness, it has a load of the standard basket of 230 kg and it is mounted on a 3,5 ton truck.
The forSte 20D is just a little preview of a complete selection that Socage will present this year exclusively at Gis fair in Piacenza and it will belong to the E Series.
