Socage at Apex 2017

Apr 19, 2017 | Articles

During the Apex 2017 Socage will present the new products that are distinguishing it on the market.
The forSte 75TJJ will be participating, it is a telescopic aerial platform with double jib, Socage colossus, 75 m tall and it can be mounted on trucks with minimum G.V.W. of 32 tons.
This aerial platform is able of a maximum 40m outreach and a safe working load (SWL) of 600 kg (6 workers + tools) with a rotation of the aerial part of 700°.
The forSte 75TJJ can be equipped with an hydraulic winch mounted on the jib, with 900 kg capacity, usable when the aluminum basket is removed.
During the Apex, however, Socage gathers the opportunity to present the forSte75JJ with its new patent: CONVERTIBLE BASKET.
In fact this aerial platform will have mounted a new aluminum basket, called indeed Convertible basket, hydraulically enlarged (2300/3500 x 1300 x 1100 mm) and it has the lifting bar to easily load the basket.
The Convertible basket idea was thought by Socage in particular for those who work with Eternit panels, in order to work on roofs and load the basket with sheets.
This optional  that we will see in Amsterdam on the 75 m platform, it is able of maximum load capacity of 500 kg (5 workers + tools) and it could be mounted on all the Socage forSte TJ-TJJ range aerial platforms, starting from 35m height.
Added to the forSte 75TJJ, Socage will present also in Amsterdam the innovative E Series last aerial platforms.
They are aerial platforms mounted on 3,5 ton trucks with a safe working load (SWL) of 300 kg mounted on the X-FACTOR chassis, exclusively patented by Socage.
This chassis has the typical X shape (ME+ME) and it permits having a universal installation for every truck, having vertical feet and within the mirrors of the truck.
Another innovation characterizing the E Series aerial platform is having the SPP profiles, “Socage Project Profile”, raised from the strict collaboration between Socage and Welser Profile GmbH.
SPP is the development of tubular profiles made of high resistant material, with the purpose of producing ultralight aerial platforms’ chassis.

The profiling technique is  first applied with the use of rollers, laser welding, laser tube cutting and robot welding.

SPP’s advantages include: modularity of the machines, 30 – 50% reduction of the aerial part weight and a high reduction of vehicle consumption.

In particular at the fair will be exposed a forSte 20TJ, telescopic aerial platform with jib belonging to the E Series. It is able of a maximum working height of 19,50 m and a maximum working outreach of 13,50 m, it has a maximum safe working load (SWL) of 300 kg (2 workers + tools) and it can be mounted on a 3,5 ton truck.
This is just a little anticipation of what we will show in Amsterdam during the May fair.
In fact there will be a surprise too we won’t reveal in order to leave the curiosity to the visitors until the event starts…we just say you be LIGHT, be EASY, be GREEN…
We wait many of you at the Apex 2017 to discover directly at the Socage stand 1170 all our latest news.
